Golden Acres has been welcoming RV travelers for over 50 years. While the park operated primarily as a seasonal campground for decades, new ownership in 2024 began a careful restoration of the grounds, infrastructure, and guest experience, bringing nightly RV camping back to Square Lake.

For the 2026 season, Golden Acres now offers nine nightly RV campsites, each featuring full hookups with 50/30/20-amp electric, water, and sewer, set on gravel pads. True to the park’s historic layout, all sites are back-in, preserving the charm and spacing of a classic Minnesota lakeside campground. High-speed Wi-Fi is planned for the 2026 camping season and is currently being installed throughout the park.

To provide flexibility in both price and layout, nightly sites are offered in four pricing tiers—Premium, Large, Standard, and Compact. While all tiers include the same core amenities, site size, ease of maneuvering, and maximum RV length vary by category. Please review site details carefully to ensure the best fit for your RV.

Premium Full Hookup RV Sites

Our Premium Full Hookup sites are the largest and most accommodating options at Golden Acres. Designed with big rigs in mind, these sites offer extra length, wider clearances, and easier maneuverability for a smooth arrival and departure.

Each site includes full hookups (water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electric) and is located just a short walk from Square Lake and the beach. This is our top-tier option for guests traveling with larger RVs or those seeking the most spacious setup we offer.

Compact Full Hookup RV Site

Our Compact Full Hookup site offers full amenities at a lower nightly rate. This site has a tighter layout and limited maneuvering space and includes a mature tree within the site area.

Best suited for smaller RVs or experienced drivers comfortable backing into a compact space. Like all nightly sites, it is just a short walk from Square Lake and the beach and includes water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electric service.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance will receive a full refund, minus a $20 cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 8–29 days before arrival will receive a 50% refund or a 75% credit (valid for 12 months).

Cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival will receive no refund, but are eligible for a 50% credit (valid for 12 months).

• No Show Policy: Renters and guests failing to arrive without cancellation notification (no-shows) will be charged the full balance of their reservation and will not be eligible for credit.

• Early Check-Outs: No refunds will be issued for Renters and guests who decide to check out before the end of their reservation period.

• Weather: Refunds will not be provided for cancellations or interruptions due to weather.
